Road closed due to...chicks: A truck containing 10,000 baby chicks overturned on a busy expressway in eastern China on Tuesday

Picking up chicks! The cute chicks were piled into bicycle baskets, shoved into plastic bags and even stored in villagers shirts

Chancers: Frustrated motorists held up by the truck crash exacted their revenge by taking some chicks, too

Feathery frenzy: Local police were helpless to prevent the villagers and motorists rapid looting

Scramble: Villagers grab fistfuls of chicks that have spilled from the truck, while others snap pictures of the unusual scene

Luxury item: Chicken is a very popular foodstuff in China, and chicken feet are considered to be a delicacy
