Արվեստագետ Շինտարո Օհատայի (1975թ.) աշխատանքներին մեկ դիտանկյունից նայելով, կթվա, թե դրանք սովորական յուղաներկով ստեղծված նկարներն են, սակայն նրա աշխատանքներից յուրաքանչյուրը գեղանկարների ու քանդակների հիբրիդներ են, որոնք իրենց գույներով ու որակով այնքան ներդաշնակ են, որ մեկ ընդհանուր պատկեր են թվում: Քանդակները պենոպլաստից են ստեղծված, իսկ դրանց ֆոնն ավանդական գեղանկարչության տեխնիկայով ստեղծված կտավներ են:
